Stump removal that gives you your yard back.
The tree is gone, but the stump is still in the way. We take it out so you can plant, build or simply mow straight across.
A leftover stump is more than an eyesore. It catches mower blades and ankles, sends up new sprouts, and slowly rots into a home for termites, ants and fungus right next to your house.
Whether the tree came down last week or years ago, Banegas Tree Service removes the stump and leaves the area ready for whatever comes next. If we're taking a tree down for you, we can handle the stump in the same visit.
What stump removal includes
A look at the stump and what's around it
Size, roots, nearby fences, sprinkler lines and buried utilities all change how a stump comes out. We check before we start.
Removing the stump
We take the stump down below the surface so it no longer sticks out of the lawn or gets in the way of your plans for the space.
Cleaning up the area
We go over what happens with the debris during your estimate, so the price and the finished result are clear before the work begins.
Stumps after a tree removal
Pair it with a tree removal and the whole job is done at once, with one crew and one estimate.
Texas law asks for a call to 811 before digging so underground utility lines can be marked. Ask us how we plan around utilities when we visit.
Why it's worth doing

- No more sproutsSome trees keep pushing up shoots from the stump. Removing it stops the cycle.
- Less pest riskA rotting stump attracts termites and ants. Getting rid of it keeps them away from the house.
- Usable spaceReplant, lay grass, build a patio or just enjoy a clean, level yard.

Questions about stump removal
Should I remove a stump or leave it?
A stump can be left, but it often causes problems: sprouts, pests, a trip hazard and a spot where nothing else will grow. If you plan to use that part of the yard, removing it is usually worth it.
How much does stump removal cost?
It depends mostly on the size of the stump, how many there are and how easy they are to reach. We'll give you a price at your free estimate. Call (512) 822-0974.
Can you remove a stump from a tree another company cut?
Yes. It doesn't matter who took the tree down or how long ago.
Can I plant in the same spot afterwards?
In most cases you can plant grass or new beds there. For a new tree, it's usually better to plant a little to the side of the old one. We can talk through your plans when we visit.
